Jenkins launches Colorado Summer Dance Retreat and featured through National Choreographers Initiative

Inspired by the need he saw for dancers to be nurtured as artists, choreographer Kevin Jenkins created the Summer Dance Retreat to inspire and rejuvenate working professionals. Hosted just outside Boulder, Colorado the retreat will be focused on creating a space where dancers can rest and enjoy the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Kevin will lead class, teach repertoire, and host discussions about the dance field and how to stay inspired while working in it. Also teaching will be David Maurice, formerly of Ate9 and current artistic director of Cocodaco Dance Project.

All professional dancers are encouraged to apply as the retreat will be provided at no cost to the attendees. Their sole expense will be travel to and from Denver International Airport. Transport to the retreat center will be facilitated, meals will be curated by a personal chef, and all dancers will be provided lodging on site.

Kevin's vision is to support dancers so they can return for the 18/19 season with a new sense of inspiration, reinvigorated by their time at SDR.
